Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs broccoli (about 1 head), cut into medium florets*
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (or ½ tsp garlic powder)
  • ½ tsp fine sea salt (or more to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp freshly grated parmesan (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl or directly on the baking sheet, toss the broccoli with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the florets in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 14-18 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown and the stems are crisp-tender.
  5. If desired, sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan before serving.
Notes
  • Prepping the Broccoli: Rinse under cold water and pat dry thoroughly for the best crispiness.
  • Using Broccoli Stems: The stems can also be roasted! Simply peel off the tough outer layer and cut into bite-sized pieces.
