  • 2 large tomatoes, each cut into 3 slices
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for drizzling)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, mix together:
      • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
      • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
      • ¼ teaspoon salt
      • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  3. Assemble the Tomatoes:
    • Arrange tomato slices on a baking sheet.
    • Evenly top each slice with the cheese mixture.
    • Optionally, drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Bake:
    • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
    • For extra browning, turn on the broiler for the last minute.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the tomatoes.
    • Serve immediately.
