  1. Can I use frozen artichoke hearts instead of canned ones?

Yes, you can use frozen artichoke hearts. For frozen artichokes, air fry at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-10 minutes, tossing halfway through, until they are crisp and tender.

  1. How do I ensure the artichoke hearts become crispy?

To achieve crispy artichoke hearts:

  • Dry Thoroughly: After draining, rinse, and pat the artichoke hearts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This prevents steaming and promotes crispiness.
  • Avoid Overcrowding: Arrange the artichoke hearts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking and less crispiness.
  1. What seasonings can I use to flavor the artichoke hearts?

Feel free to customize the flavors according to your taste. Common seasonings include garlic powder, onion powder, Italian herbs, lemon pepper, smoked paprika, or Cajun seasoning. For a zesty kick, lemon zest can also be added.

  1. How do I prevent the artichoke hearts from being mushy?

To prevent mushiness:

  • Pat Dry: Ensure the artichoke hearts are thoroughly dried after rinsing.
  • Proper Seasoning: Toss them gently with olive oil and your chosen seasonings, ensuring an even but not excessive coating.
  • Single Layer Cooking: Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation.
  1. Can I prepare these artichoke hearts in advance?

It’s best to enjoy these artichoke hearts immediately after cooking for optimal crispiness. However, if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat and restore some crispiness, place them back in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
